Raymond Weil
One of the youngest of the major Swiss watch brands, Raymond Weil was launched in 1976 in Geneva. Taking the name of its founder, this company is one of the few independent watch brands.
Early in its history, Raymond Weil decided to position the brand with a strong connection to arts and culture. A 1983 collection "Amadeus" was unveiled to coincide with Milos Forman's world acclaimed film of the same name. Subsequent collections have continued this trend.
In 1990 the launch of the "Parsifal" collection, marked the company's move into the luxury market with the use of 18ct gold in its watch cases.
